Some cities have art everywhere you look.
The others have museums.
When you live surrounded by art, seeing it everywhere you go, without seeking it out, the mentality of the residents must be unique. Just as people who live surrounded by open fields and open skies are different are probably different from people like me who grew up inside concrete blocks. My guess is that the character and minimum benchmarks of the things that delight each group is likely to be vastly different. Which is better or worse is not for me to judge. All I know is that when lives are so different, it would be an exciting adventure to get into their mind-space and understand how they they of beauty and visual joy.
Here are some photos of Kathmandu, where even without entering a sacred space, everyone is exposed to sacred aesthetics …

The medium of the art could be anything. It could be buildings – like in Toraja, or fruit carvings – like in Thailand, or fabrics like in India.
But being immersed in beauty might certainly be useful to the development of one’s being.
