Connections

Cliff overlooking the fork on the Shyok River Valley.
On the way to Yarma village that lay beyond the last mountain in the valley on the right.
Sometimes there is an inexplicable connection to a location. This spot – the fork viewed from different points – gives me that feeling. Mahbe its the way the evening light falls on it shaded by the mountain range. Or maybe it is the distant places the winds have touched before reaching here. This is THE spot that feels like my umbilical

cord to the universe. There’s contentment and there’s longing.

Sirf ehsaas hai yeh, rooh se mehsoos karo …
