Fierce Deities!

A character that is not pleasant or all goody-goody has an appeal that is perhaps stronger!

The glimpse of something fiesty, something temperamental, something strong with overtones of bold confidence can draw one in and mesmerise one.

And so it was with these fierce dieties in painted manuscripts from Tibet:

In this case they are doubly appealing as their fierceness destroys the obstructions to enlightenment!

Through the art, I am discovering little snippets of the ideology of Buddhism!
