900 Old Parsi Zoroastrian Heirloom Box with Silver & Jade? Quartz?

Heirloom piece of a Parsi (Zorastrian) family

Quite likely used to keep sandalwood and other sacred items.

Material of the main body has not been tested and is most probably either Jadeite / Nephrite / Quartz

The interior is lined with a silver plate on the base and compartmented into 6 cells using silver walls.

The exterior has silver edges that have been carved beautifully in leaf and vine motifs – typical of Iran

Acquired from the Silver Jewelry dealer of a Parsi family that has had this box for several generations.
