747 Vintage Kohistan Bridal Dress with Superfine Embroidery

Fabulous superfine embroidery on the Dress Front

Stitches designed to be wrapped around the warps / Wefts of the base cloth.

One can only imagine the amount of time and attention needed to create such patches.

Pieces from Kohistan are rare, and the ones that have this type of work are even rarer. Even in the ones in which such work is present, the embroiery is spread over small patches of 6 sq inches.

This has one of the largest patches that I’ve seen.

Absolutely gorgeous work of art.

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections. Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect. More photos of such imperfections will be provided on request.
