700 Antique Anatolian Sivas Cicim Perde Tent Divider Kilim Rug Textile Art – Gallery-2

Anatolyan Cicim Tent Divider

From the Sivas region,

First Half 20th century

Acquired from a museum store.

5 hand woven panels with supplementary weft sewn together and used as tent dividers.

Good condition.

Acquired from a Museum.

300 cm x 135 cm without the fringes. There is a joint at 220cm (so in case you need it to be shorter you could just open up the stitches at that point)

Such an elegant palette and such density of ‘desire’ motifs is rare. Again,  have yet to see another as attractive as this piece!

INVENTORY LOCATION: 2

One of my favorites because of the palette … haven’t seen another like this!

This item has spent a lifetime being used for the purpose of its creation with the original artist/user. Signs of this life lived heartily may be present on the piece in the form of stains, thread loss, loose threads, holes, tears, color run and other imperfections. Therefore the condition must be assumed to be “not” perfect. More photos of such imperfections will be provided on request.
