Notes on Culture & Antique Art, Ethnic Decor & Vintage Fashion | Wovensouls Art Gallery
This palm leaf set from Odisha, India contains a text narration of the Hanuman Purana that is accompanied by skillful drawings. The photos are all taken with flash to allow for clear viewing of the etching/drawings making the manuscript look brighter than it actually is. The original color is browner and darker. Hanuman is the monkey God king who attached himself to Lord Rama and helped him to win the battle against Ravana. This text is the story of his life.
