The first floor of the Kangra museum made the trip worthwhile.
I am not a student of Indian fine art – so it was easy for me to enjoy these. Because, sometimes, knowing a little bit about something becomes an obstacle to enjoying it – isn’t it?
Here are some photos of the paintings in the Kangra Museum, Himachal Pradesh.

Unique work!
Hi, thanks for the images. Could you let me know what the painting showing the court of a demon king and his attendants is about?
I am not an expert on the subject – but this could be Daksha after his beheading. Shiva then restores it with a goat’s head. I will put it up on the Antique Asian Art Group on facebook and let’s see if we get some more answers.
