Stone Sculptures & Bronze Statues – Tanjore

Disclaimer: Compared to other forms of art that I know very little about, in the field of stone and bronzes I know absolutely nothing. My reactions when I saw these were very naive – what plump – life-like calves this bronze haswhat unusual jewelry the statue has… and so on.

And so it is possible to spend a whole day just staring at and observing the features of the pieces I do not understand at all… in this gallery in Tanjore.
