Notes on Culture & Antique Art, Ethnic Decor & Vintage Fashion | Wovensouls Art Gallery
Life is lived every minute of every day.
And so, long ago, we decided to surround ourselves with beautiful things. In the choice between return on investment in financial terms and return on investment in terms of visual delight, we chose the latter. And have loved what the antique artworks did for our general state of momentary joyousness. The thrill of beholding refreshed us every time a forgotten detail was noticed once again!
Over time, I realised that art and interiors can do a lot, but the paradigm in which they sit is larger than everything else. And so the attraction to heritage houses grew. Naturally, buying houses is not an option, but heritage houses became my preferred place to rest in, every time I traveled – houses built and nurtured decades ago. These houses that carried the soul of the owners as they lived their lives over the decades called out to me and nurtured my spirit through an inexplicable connection to the past.

And so, even if for just a day or two, I’ve lived a life in the past century, I’ve lived my dream of “Midnight in Paris” and visited history – someone else’s history but history nevertheless. My soul is full and my heart is grateful.
