WHO are these MEN?

Fascinating to find five men lurking in a soumac rug fragment…..

Here they are!

Am assuming they are men because of the hair.

The lower half is mermaidesque … am sure there a reason for the unique shape.

Further, there is some elibelinde similarity – if you turn it upside down, the hands are held in the manner of Elibelinde  … coincidence?

I’ve seen little crowns on birds – a decorative triangle …. but this is the first time I’m seeing it on men.

Candelabra? Is there a cultural significance?

What might it be?

There’s an interesting story behind this fragment – that I will tell another day in another note.

Right now these men are too distracting!

My musings may be completely off the mark –

Please share your knowledge if you have an idea about what these quasi-men are…
