Jewelry – Style of Ancient Gods

The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco has a fabulous collection of ancient Buddhist & Hindu Temple statues.

As I saw the various stone masterpieces, I could not help noticing the fabulous jewelry that adorned their chests, their arms, their feet, their fingers, their toes, their ears and their head!

There was gender parity in those days indeed! Unlike modern day men, ancient men had equal status and were free to adorn themselves with as much jewelry as they wished!

What a golden era that must have been for men!
