Guess who is featured in this Lithograph from the Raja Ravi Varma Press?
At first I thought this is Ravana – the king who was so intelligent that the artists depicted that concept by showing 10 heads.
But it is not Ravana for in most communities in India he does not represent the good so chances if finding posters for home worship are low.
Then who?
This is Krishna – in his Viraat Swarup form!
Not easy to discern between the good and the evil anymore right?

This is wonderful! It is Krishna and recognisably so, because he holds the Sankha, Chakra, Gadha Pushpa of Vishnu in four of his hands. Having said that,this is a rare depiction. In some parts of South India Ravana is the good guy!
Thank you for the insights About Ravana worship, I believe even in Rajasthan there is a community that worships him.
