Games People Play

In Tibet I saw Billiards Being played on tables set up in the open. Old men, young men, teenagers. Altogether. Mixed groups.

In Singapore, in the mature estates Chinese Chess being played outdoors by old & not-so-old men is a common sight.

And in Goreme, central Anatolia I see people playing Backgammon everywhere!

How does this happen? How does a particular gain become THE game of that area?

Is it The theory of ‘tipping point’ in action?
