A Banjara Pot Cushion from Odisha

Travellers looking for an authentic tribal experience of rustic simple living need to go to more and more remote places as most regions are now getting urbanised and modern.

A few places still retain their unspoilt charm. Odisha is one of them.

The people there still live their old lives, unspoilt by outsiders trying to teach them “better” ways of living.

It is a tribal travelers paradise!

Here is a cushion from the Banjaras of Orissa – that is placed between the pot and the head for easy carrying.

ANTIQUE BANJARA INDHONI ORISSA

The panel runs down the spine and ends at the hip.

So much art in daily life!
