Costumes from Mongolia – A Peep into the Past

Screen Shot 2013-12-13 at 1.01.59 PM

A discussion on a forum board opened my eyes to the details that form part of the background of paintings. In this particular case, the forum discussed rugs in the paintings of old masters. But since then, my eyes search for the hidden value delivered by dated photos and paintings.

Presenting some old photos and sketches by travelers that reveal the costume culture and lifestyle of Mongolia.

Great collection of pictures! Mangolian costumes are not much different from the far-eastern costumes i.e., Japan, China, etc right? But, can feel the uniqueness in their accessories. Nice post indeed!
