Cotton fluffer – a profession that is nearly dead. He walks about the streets announcing his presence with loud shouts and is hired for a day by families to fluff up the cotton in mattresses & pillows to increase the longevity of the mattress.

    I looked up just now after seeing your correction. Both ‘kerbside’ & ‘curbside’ seem to be correct. Thank you for taking the time to write – one never knows when one is wrong and I am always willing to be corrected.
