The Dragon Dance

A set of photos on the dragon dance.

The dragon chasing the pearl shows that the dragon is continually in the pursuit of wisdom.

Every unique formation has a name e.g. ‘Cloud Cave’, ‘Whirlpool’, ‘threading the money’,’looking for pearl’, and ‘dragon encircling the pillar’.

Dragons may range from the modest 25m to the highly acrobatic 75m in length. To plan and orchestrate the fluid movements of the dragon, the length is divided into sections (up to 46!).

An article on the Lion Dance is available here.
