The characters of deer are likeness for peace, refraining from persecuting others, alertness and vigilance at all times.

 

Therefore, the deer picture refers to alert person with awareness and carefulness in living a life and consciousness at all times.

 

Note the amazing use of negative space to create all the motifs in this textile

 

And the use of multiple colors in the bands in the field is also worthy of attention.
