1397 Antique Deccan Ceremonial Offering Phulkari Textile – Lion Motifs

Rare Figurative Hanging Phulkari with lion figures and architectural motifs

Unusual lion motifs present.

Used as ceremonial offerings to Shia Saints in the Deccan region (Hyderabad).

Crafted in the style of Phulkaris and therefore may have some linkage to artisans in the North. Dark blue felt-like base cloth

 Very Rare.

Has some damage & repairs.

Estimated to be from the early-mid 1900s
