Superbly Embroidered Dowry Bag with dense work on both sides.

Cotton base – and most probably all-cotton threads.

Superbly executed extremely dense embroidery that at first-glance could be mistaken for applique or rope-work

Such fine work is no longer made.

Artworks of this quality were usually given as dowry.
