Into the Desert

“If you are strong enough, you must constantly challenge the boundaries of your comfort zone.”

And so I take little sojourns into the unknown.

***

This time I am going into a life that is ideologically different from mine. Not that I have an ideology in any form – my life is just one big  mishmash of continuously evolving thoughts.

But there is a certain routine – that I do brush my teeth everyday. That I use a minimum of 5 buckets of water a day. That I drink tea or coffee. That I use a pillow. That I sleep  indoors. Etc etc

All of these routines, all socially-learnt – govern my urban settled life.

On my last trip to the most enchanting city of the world – Banaras, I lived inside the heart of religious traditions and rituals.

Now, on this trip, I will do something else …

My influencers have been Michael Asher who led me to Wilfred Thesiger…. and so I hope to taste the life that says “True wealth lies in living a nomadic life. Those who settle down lose their identity”.

Stay tuned … one more adventure awaits…….
