Presenting the most amazing earring design – The Thuriya earring of Assam:

‘Thuria’ or Thuriya’ is the name of a flower and is used to describe this earring. The Thuriya flower form is also used in necklaces.

An external image shows how these are to be worn:

The earring is wider at the bottom than at the center and therefore there is some struggle to put it on – but once done, it does not fall off.

Am hoping someday I’ll be able to wear these…. I just can’t seem to keep up up with the stylish ladies of the past!
